October Outdoor Club

Join us at 1.00 pm on Thursday 31 October for a 4-mile circular walk from RHS Harlow Carr to Harrogate, calling in at the Valley Gardens Cafe on the way. We’ll be meeting in the car park (HG3 1QB). Please sign up at our October meeting or email chapelpiewi@gmail.com to let us know you’re coming along. Lift sharing is always good so let us know whether you are need or can offer a lift when signing up.

October Craft Club

This month, we’ll be making decorative jam jar lanterns guided by one of our members. These are jam jars with dried leaves, flowers or tissue paper on the outside. Please bring along a regular-sized jam jar and any dried flowers or leaves you have. They also work well with pretty paper serviettes. Glue will be provided but if you have any newspaper, for covering the tables, please bring some along. Join us at St Matthew’s Church Hall, from 7.45 pm, on Monday 21 October.

October Meeting

This month we’ll be joined by Sarah Jayne Young. Sarah is a Vedic meditator and runs Sage Studio in Chapel Allerton where she has set up an amazing massage and wellness space for clients. Ayurvedic massage involves a comprehensive approach that considers individual constitution, the use of therapeutic oils, specific massage techniques and a holistic view of health. Sarah will be talking about her massage practice and also about her mantra: to spread kindness and help others and the importance of self care. The lucky winner of our raffle prize this month will be able to enjoy a 10-minute head and shoulder massage at the end of the meeting. Visitors and non-members are welcome, with the usual £5 charge which covers all the month’s meetings. Join us at St Matthew’s Church Hall, from 7.45 pm, on Monday 14 October.

September Craft Club

Join us at St Matthew’s Church Hall, on Wood Lane, from 7.45 pm on Monday 16 September, for a friendly, informal, crafting and catch-up session. Bring along a craft project or just join us for a cup of tea and a chat.

September Meeting

This month we’ll be joined by Anita from BlumenKind for a sustainable flower arranging session. Flowers and other materials will be provided but you will need to bring along a plant pot (without holes in the bottom) and, if possible, some foliage from your garden. Visitors and non-members are welcome, with the usual £5 charge which covers all the month’s meetings. Join us at St Matthew’s Church hall from 7.45 pm on Monday 9 September.

August Meeting

We had a lovely meeting on 5 August. It was good to see so many of you and to engage in some “traditional” WI crafting. If you didn’t quite finish your lavender bag(s), maybe come along to Craft Group on 12 August to continue and/or finish them.
