This month we’re meeting on 14 July and will be having a group crafting session to make bunting to decorate our WI cake stall at the Chapel Allerton Festival at the end of August. Tasks will be divided into small activities suitable for both sewers and non-sewers. Non-members are welcome, with a £5 donation towards our costs which covers all meetings for the month.

Our next meeting is on Monday 7 July when we’ll be meeting upstairs at Further North, in Chapel Allerton, to talk about Darkness at Noon by Arthur Koestler. Everyone is welcome, whether or not you’ve read the book.

Join us at 1pm on Thursday 26 June for a 5-mile circular walk around Cookridge. We’ll be meeting at the junction of Cookridge Lane and Green Lane (LS17 6LP) with free roadside parking on Green Lane. We’ll be meeting by the junction of Allerton Grange Way and Gledhow Valley Road with roadside parking nearby. Join us on Monday 12 May, from 7.45 pm, to learn about the work of the Joanna Project, a Leeds-based charity working to support women. We are having a collection of toiletries for them so please bring any contributions to the meeting. Visitors and non-members are very welcome, we just ask for a donation of £5 towards our costs.
