We’re starting 2023 in style with a beer tasting session at Further North, Chapel Allerton, on Monday 16 January. We’ll be meeting upstairs at 7.45 pm and sampling 3 or 4 of North Brewing Co’s finest ales. Everyone is welcome but there will be a £4 charge for visitors for this event. There will also be an opportunity for Chapel Pie members to vote on the proposed WI resolutions for 2022-23. The next Book Club is on Tuesday 3 January when we’ll be meeting upstairs at Further North, in Chapel Allerton, at 7.30 pm, to discuss Simon the Coldheart, a fictional historical novel published in 1925, by Georgette Heyer.

December Book Club
Our Christmas meeting, complete with Secret Santa and festive drinks and nibbles! We’ll be meeting in St Matthews Church Hall, Wood Lane, at 7.30 pm, on Monday 5 December. Please bring along your own drink and some savoury nibbles to share. As well as discussing If on a Winter’s Night, by Italo Calvino, we’ll be having our traditional Secret Santa book swap. The idea is to wrap two books, separately, that you’ve enjoyed previously and think someone else might like.
November Outdoor Club
Join us on Tuesday 22 November for a circular walk of approximately 4.5 miles from Meanwood Park along the Meanwood Ridge. Meeting in Meanwood Park car park, at the end of Green Lane, in time to leave at 2.00 pm. Optional cafe stop after the walk.
