June Outdoor Club

This month we’re visiting Yorke Gate Garden, in, Adel, on Wednesday 29 June. Tucked away in North Leeds, York Gate is a magical one-acre garden created by the Spencer family between 1951 and 1994. It is one of the finest small gardens in the country with a design of ‘rooms’ interlinked through a succession of vistas with meticulous attention to detail. There’s also a tea room, plant nursery and gift shop. Our plan is to meet in time for a 2pm entrance slot, look around the garden and then stay on for tea or coffee if people wish to. Admission is £7, paid on entry, but we do need to book tickets in advance so please email chapelpiewi@gmail.com by Monday 20 June to reserve your place.
