February Outdoor Club – Update

Join us at 1.30 pm on Thursday 29 February for a circular walk of approximately 5 miles through Rothwell Country Park and along the canal. Meeting at Skelton Lake Services (M1 Junction 45, LS9 0AS) at 1.30 pm. Free parking for 3 hours which should be plenty of time. February Craft Club

Join us at St Matthew’s Church Hall, on Wood Lane, from 7.45 pm, on Monday 19 February, for a friendly, informal crafting and catch-up session. Any and all crafting welcome, or just come along for a chat and a cup of tea.

February Meeting

Join us at St Matthew’s Church Hall, from 7.45 pm on Monday 12 February when The Dance Studio Leeds will be running an interactive Bollywood Dance evening. Participation is optional but should be great fun! Please wear comfortable clothes and bring along some water.

January Outdoor Club

Join us at 1.30 pm on Thursday 25 January for a circular walk of approximately 4 miles around Meanwood, passing the cafe in Meanwood Park where we’ll be stopping for coffee/tea. We’ll be meeting in Leafield Close, just off Stonegate Road, LS17 5BT, where there should be plenty of free roadside parking. January Meeting

This month we’ll be looking at, discussing and voting on the four WI resolutions. We’ll also be socialising and sharing food/nibbles so please bring something along to share with others. There There will be the usual £5 charge for visitors and non-members. Join us on Monday 8 January, from 7.45 pm, at St Matthew’s Church Hall on Wood Lane.

December Christmas Meal

A reminder that we’re visiting The Olive Branch, on Street Lane, for our Christmas Meal at 7.00 pm on Monday 11 December. If you’d like to come along and haven’t signed up yet, get in touch via chapelpiewi@gmail.com before 13 November and we’ll confirm how you can pay the £10 deposit and let us have your menu choices.

December Book Club

Our next Book Club is on Monday 4 December, when we’ll be meeting upstairs at Further North, in Chapel Allerton, at the earlier time of 7.15 pm to discuss Secrets of the Sea House by Elizabeth Gifford. This is our last meeting before Christmas so we’ll also be enjoying our usual Secret Santa Book Swap. The idea is to wrap two books, separately, that you’ve enjoyed previously and think someone else might like. Please bring along a small plate of finger food or snacks to share.

November Outdoor Club

Join us at 1.30 pm on Tuesday 28 November for a circular walk of approximately 3.5 miles around Temple Newsam. We’ll mainly be sticking to footpaths to avoid the worst of the mud and finishing with a visit to the Courtyard Cafe. We’ll be meeting in the car park by GoApe.
