Join us at St Matthew’s Church Hall, on Wood Lane, from 7.45 pm on Monday 15 July, for a friendly, informal crafting and catch-up session. Bring any craft projects along or just join us for a cup of tea and a chat.

This month we’re celebrating Chapel Pie’s 15th birthday with some summery drinks, nibbles, cake and a few games! If the weather’s kind we’ll be outdoors, otherwise in the church hall. Visitors and non-members are welcome, but there will be the usual £5 charge which covers all the meetings this month. Join us at St Matthew’s Church Hall from 7.45 pm on Monday 8 July.

Our next Book Club is on Monday 1 July when we’ll be meeting upstairs at Further North, in Chapel Allerton, at 7.30 pm, to discuss The Housekeeper and the Professor by Yoko Ogawa, a contemporary Japanese author.

This month, on Monday 10 June, we’re heading out for a short history walk around Lawnswood Cemetery, on Otley Road, just up from the Lawnswood Roundabout, LS16 6AH. The cemetery car park is on the right-hand side, by the florists. We’re planning on car sharing from St Matthew’s Church Hall, so please come down for 6.45 pm to car share or, alternatively, meet us at the cemetery for 7.15 pm.

Join us at 1.00 pm on Thursday 23 May for a 4.5 mile circular walk from Heber’s Ghyll, Ilkely, to Windgate Nick. If it’s a clear day, there should be lovely views over to Addingham to Bolton Abbey. Meeting at the far end of Heber’s Ghyll Drive, near the bridge, LS29 9RQ. Roadside parking. This month is one of our “try something new” craft sessions when Kate will be taking us through how to make Dorset Buttons. The meetings are usually lots of fun and we all manage to make something good. Everyone is very supportive and helpful so don’t worry if you’re not very crafty. All materials will be provided but, if you can, please bring along a pen, ruler, scissors, tapestry needle or bodkin and embroidery thread. Meeting, as usual, in the Church Hall, at 7.45 pm, on Monday 20 May.
