Joint Book and Craft Club
We’re holding a joint Book and Craft Club meeting on Monday 24 April, meeting upstairs at Further North, in Chapel Allerton, at 7.30 pm. We’ll be discussing Books vs Cigarettes, a short collection of essays by George Orwell first published in 1946. Feel free to bring along any craft projects to work on as we chat about the book.
April Meeting
Join us from 7.45 pm on Monday 17 April, when we will be learning about the work of Leeds Women’s Aid, an independent charity formed in 1972 which provides services to women and children affected by domestic violence and abuse. We’ll be collecting donations of toiletries at the meeting, so please bring something along, if you can.

March Craft Club
Join us at St Matthew’s Church Hall on Wood Lane, from 7.45 pm on Monday 20 March, when we will be making paper sunflowers to be part of a display at Leeds City Museum for World Refugee Day. Paper will be provided but please bring scissors.

Join us from 7.45 pm on Monday 13 March when Dance Workshops will be running a Flamenco Dance evening. Participation is optional but should be great fun! Please wear comfortable clothes.
March Book Club
Our next Book Club is on Monday 6 March when we’ll be meeting upstairs at Further North, in Chapel Allerton, at 7.30 pm to discuss The Buried Giant by Kazuo Ishiguro which follows an elderly Briton couple living in a fictional post-Arthurian England in which no one is able to retain long-term memories.
